And then there’s my company – FUBU. When the recession hit in the early ’90s, I was sewing hats and shirts out of my mom’s basement in Queens. I started out with just $40 and I grew the company into a $6 billion empire. That business made me – and others – a lot of money. More importantly, it created thousands of jobs for people from all walks of life.
Of course, I couldn’t have done it on my own – none of these companies could. They all had Americans – like you and me – with the guts to back them when they were first getting off the ground.
Today, “the next” generation of visionaries is out there…
