Neil here. I hope you had a fantastic holiday weekend.

Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about entrepreneurship. Did you know that nearly two-thirds of angel investors started out as entrepreneurs themselves?

It makes sense – once you see firsthand how much money your investors can make, it’s impossible to resist trying out the other side of the negotiating table.

But there’s something truly incredible about being an entrepreneur. You get to be your own boss… set your own hours… and you really get to be the sole pioneer of your vision. No more bureaucracy slowing you down – when you’re an entrepreneur, you make the rules.

That’s why I’m still at the helm of so many businesses. Heck, my angel investing portfolio could pay for my lifestyle on its own. But being an entrepreneur is immensely gratifying and empowering. I wouldn’t give it up for anything.

Unfortunately, too many people still believe that starting a business is too tough, or too expensive, to pursue. I want you to know that that is simply not the case.

Launching an online business is particularly easy – and the overhead cost can be next to nothing. If you have the right tools in your arsenal, you could easily take an online business from $0 to $10K in monthly revenue.

You may not know this about me, but I co-host a digital marketing podcast with my friend and colleague Eric Siu. It’s called Marketing School – and we broadcast it every day to hundreds of thousands of listeners.

Recently, we recorded a secret, live video episode of Marketing School. But this time it’s not just about marketing. Instead, we dove into all the things that happen before marketing becomes really important. Basically, it’s a 100% FREE primer on how you could start a profitable online business in as little as four weeks.

We had such an amazing response from those who follow my digital marketing newsletters. People who thought they could never run their own business were realizing for the first time that they absolutely can. It’s really been inspiring to hear from everyone.

And then it hit me. Angel investing… entrepreneurship… these are both parts of the same world – a world that generates billions of dollars in revenue each year and innovates the newest game-changing technology. A world on the forefront of exploration and invention.

So it stands to reason that many of you have probably dreamed of becoming your own boss – but just don’t know where to begin.

This episode is for you.

Until next time,

    • Neil, I am new to investing and becoming an entrepreneur. Last month I started investing in some of the companies you recommended, and I would like to expand my horizons to entrepreneurship. Can you please help me with creating a business on line. I like the online business but too much money some gurus have asked me to pay in order for them to create something for me. I think that is outrageous. Especially establishing a website. Please let me know how.

  1. I’m 80 years old and having a very hard time getting started investing for the very first time. I called your phone number to ask how to get started. I’m not very computer savy, and have never done anything like this before. I have a very bad experience a year ago signing up with a guy, that was on a Glenn Beck program about Bitcoins. I gave him a lot of money, but never got any help when calling his company for help to get started. I never got a dime out of the money I sent him, He did send me a Christmas card.
